The Golden State Warriors begin this season facing a familiar foe in the Kobe Bryantless Los Angeles Lakers at Oracle Arena. Coach Mark Jackson has already posted his starting 5 for tonight’s game. We have PG Stephen Curry, SG Klay Thompson, SF Andre Iguodala, PF David Lee and C Andrew Bogut. Not exactly what Jackson was hoping for, but Harrison Barnes is on the road to recovery and should be available around game number 3 of the season. The Lakers are on the back end of a back to back. Coming off a win at the Staples Center vs the Los Angeles Clippers.
After losing in the western conference semi finals to the San Antonio Spurs in 6 games. The Warriors look to build on their recent success. With a new outlook on this brand new season and a bench full of new acquisitions. The Dubs are coming in with their heads held high and an almost full roster of NBA talent with minimal injuries. The coaching staff has been working with the players very hard this off season. Trying to ready this young team for what is expected of them. What they will need to realize is now they are the hunted, no longer the lost hunters who sometimes find a win. They have become a team who should give you a great effort night in and night out.
For this season to get off to the best start possible. Curry needs to be at the top of his game and continue to grow the chemistry he already has with his teammates. It all begins at the point and ever since Monta Ellis was shipped out of town, Curry has been thrust into his current leadership role and has done nothing but continue to flourish into the superstar he is destined to become.
Tip off at Oracle for the season opener is tonight Wednesday October 30th at 7:30 PTD.
