San Francisco, CA–Tonight the proud ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks are in preseason action against their rivals from the central valley. This contest is game two of their preseason schedule. Currently the San Francisco Bulls are 0-1-0-0 while the visiting Stockton Thunder are 1-0-0-0. In addition, tonight’s contest is the only meeting between these two Nor Cal rivals.
In the Bulls inaugural ECHL season, their record against the Thunder was 6-5-2.
The Bulls are coming off of a 3-2 lose against the Bakersfield Condors after surrendering a 2 goal lead. San Francisco’s goal scorers in that contest were Dylan King and Kris Belan. Newly added forward Andrew Eastman recorded his first assist in preseason action, while returning forward Christian Ouellet registered a point as well.
As for the visiting Thunder, they are coming off of a 4-3 victory over Stockton and they did it, in come from behind fashion. Their win made in Richard Kromm’s first as new head coach of the franchise.
The Bulls have several returning players back in their lineup for the 2013-2014 ECHL season. They welcome back Dylan King, Dean Ouellet, Jordan Morrison, Kris Belan, Christian Ouellet, and Brett Findlay. In last season campaign, both Dean Ouellet and Kris Belan received the honor in being called up to AHL. Dean played for Hamilton the AHL affiliate for the Montreal Canadians, and Kris played for the Kings AHL affiliate the Manchester Monarchs. Also Dean represented the Bulls as the franchises first ECHL All Star.
Fan favorites Dean Ouellet, Scott Langdon, and Jordan Morrison are all scheduled to make their preseason debut.
