San Jose Sharks vs. Phoenix Coyotes

San Jose, CA– Today the Sharks (1-0-1) for the second consecutive night will be looking to improve their game play as they take on the Phoenix Coyotes (2-1-0) in preseason action.  In today’s contest, it will be a special night for one San Jose Sharks player. Forward prospect Matt Nieto will play his first professional game in front of his parents this evening in an NHL uniform. Matt Nieto and his parents, are from Long Beach, CA.

In their previous preseason contest, the Sharks ended up loosing to their southern California rivals, the Anaheim Ducks in overtime by a final score 3-2. The goal scorers for San Jose were Tomas Hertl and Tyler Kennedy both recorded their first goals of the preseason as well as their first strikes in a San Jose Sharks uniform.
