Nemanja Nedovic: Serbia loses to Spain in ugly quarterfinal 90-60

The Spaniards came to play as they jumped on Serbia from the tip and never looked back as they went on to win by 30. The game was one sided from the start as Nedovic and Kristic struggled to get their offense going while Spain had built their lead up to 40 at one point.

Sergio Rodriguez who formally played with the Trailblazers, Kings and Knicks led Spain with 22 while former Trailblazer and Nugget Rudy Fernandez chipped in 19 points of his own.

Spain looks like the odds on favorite to win the tournament with their various past and present NBA players like Rodriguez, Fernandez , not to mention All Star big man Marc Gasol, poised vet Jose Calderon and the always excited Ricky Rubio.

Serbia will look to bounce back as they take on Slovenia on Thursday 9/19 in a fun match up between the Warriors rookie and the Pheonix Suns’ starting point guard Goran Dragic. The game is at 5:30 am PST.
