The NBA Off-Season has always been the best time for players to get in the gym and work on their game. Golden State Warriors rookie guard Nemanja Nedovic is doing more than just working on his game this summer by competing for his native Serbia in the 2013 Eurobasket tournament that kicked off Sept. 4.
Nedovic’s Serbia pulled out a 63-56 victory against Lithuania who featured NBA veteran swingman Linas Kleiza and the Toronto Raptors’ center of the future, Jonas Valanciunas. Nedovic’s speed proved to be a problem for the Lithuanian transition defense as the 6’3 guard went 5-8 from the floor scoring 14 points.[youtube id=”FFpSdHmc68s#t=115″ width=”600″ height=”350″]
Seven year NBA veteran center Nenad Kristic led Serbia in scoring with 20 points but Nedovic showed he may be Serbia’s best player logging in a team high 34 minutes. Serbia will take on Bosnia Herzegovina on Thursday Sept. 5 at 8:45am PST.
